The Story

The Australia Esports Federation (AEF) will host the first esports event of the year on the big screen at Lido, Hawthorn. Enjoy watching your favourite game on a large cinematic screen for the first time. The Dota 2 Easter Cup will be played on the 20th of April 2019 starting at 2pm AEDT. Come enjoy a day with drinks and food at the Lido bar.

Event Summary:

This is a one-day event on Saturday the 20th of April 2019 starting with the lower bracket final at 2pm (AEDT) in a best-of-3. The winners will go on to play the top qualified team in the best-of-5 grand final expected to start around 4-5 pm. The day is expected to finish around 9pm.

Event Description:

For those of you who are new to esports, this is a professional gaming event between two teams of 5 who will be playing live in front of an audience. The game will be shown on the cinema screen with live commentary from the AEF's talented casters.

Location:
The event will be held at Lido, Hawthorn at 675 Glenferrie Rd, Hawthorn in Cinema 4. Doors open at 1pm for a 2pm start.

Tickets:
Ticket prices are as follows:
$90 for gold class – comes with complimentary Dota themed mouse and mousepad valued at ($100 RRP)
$50 for silver class – comes with complimentary Dota 2 themed mousepad valued at ($30 RRP)
$30 for general admission

The AEF have an official partnership with Kuiper Gear, who designs and manufactures Dota 2 themed gaming products. There are 5 heroes with mouse and mousepads to choose from and for this event only, you can purchase them with the tickets for a discounted rate.
