In February 2021 Eric Clapton’s live shows at The Royal Albert Hall were cancelled due to the global pandemic. Determined to play, Clapton brought his band together in the English countryside to create a unique show – a stripped-back and intimate performance interspersed with exclusive behind-the-scenes insights from “Slowhand”. Clapton surrounded himself with regular collaborators Nathan East, Steve Gadd, and Chris Stainton and brought in Grammy Award-winning producer Russ Titelman to oversee the sessions. The music explores influences such as Peter Green (Black Magic Woman, Man of the World) and Muddy Waters (Long Distance Call)) along with his own hits such as Layla, Tears in Heaven as well as intimate personal songs such as Believe In Life.
