“Four Mothers is now considered a textbook case of a grassroots movement that prevailed and triumphed.” - Haaretz

Since the creation of the state of Israel, generations of mothers have sent their sons to war. The Israeli public has become accustomed to an ethos of sacrifice. During the 1997 Lebanon War, four mothers of active soldiers protested, creating and becoming leaders in a civil movement that challenged Israeli society. Premiering at DocAviv Film Festival, Four Mothers documents the impact of a groundbreaking feminist grassroots protest movement that culminated in a step towards peace.
