The Story

The Handle Bars really know how to handle bars. Their music echoes back to the glory days on Bourbon St, New Orleans when jazz was hot and the beers were cold. Whilst still encapsulating the diversity and liveliness of Melbourne's music scene this band is a collaborative between one of the masters of Australian music and the young musicians he inspires.

Lynn Wallis a veteran drummer of 40 years fires up the band from the back of the stage and leads some of Melbourne's finest young musicians though songs and styles that have become his life's work.

Expect stomping Kansas City blues, red hot dixieland and shuffling jump jive from this outfit and no doubt a good time in a bar near you.
